Overall Satisfaction with Arena PLM and QMS

We use Arena for managing our projects between cross-functional groups. It is a useful single source of truth where documents can be housed and any relevant information can be stored. It allows the teams to ensure they are referencing the same version of documents. It is very helpful in showing an audit trail for creation and edits of items.

  • Searching, needing to use keywords and shortcuts to find relevant information.

Arena needed to be able to integrate with other software tools currently established at the company. It is important for any new software to communicate with existing systems. It has an immediate and lasting effect on business operations and productivity.
Arena was implemented prior to my time at the company.

Yes

The arena would be well suited for any size company. Many different industries could use Arena, but I think there are several that are not as well suited. An industry that requires heavy regulation and quality assurance documents might be better off with a dedicated QMS system separate from a PLM. For example, a GMP manufacturing facility with many SOPs, policies, and test methods.
