Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use the powerful tools of the BMC AMI DevX range, among others, to debug incidents that occur during program execution. Mainly in our development environments. This is really useful to see the content of the variables during execution. And it's very easy to configure either in batch mode or CICS mode.

Ease of Integration

Our SCRM is based on Eclipse and BMC provide good pluggins to integrate some tools of BMC AMI DevX. Integrating Code Debug into our development platform is relatively easy to implement and we have set up standard configurations for batch or CICS.

Developer Experience

It's more easier to find the bug in the coding development work. Of course, there is a small learning curve, but once developers get used to using this tool, they find it easier to handle.

Alternatives Considered

We chose BMC because we already had tools from the BMC range on our development platforms and overall they are good tools.

Code Debug is a very convinient tool in order to solve some issues , it's very quick to fix some problem with it. And it's better than coding display in the program (we have less work to do to obtain the result).
