Pros

  • Mainframe SCM

Cons

  • Documentation is poor. It is difficult follow and implement always needs some support people explain the feature
  • More quality issues and support case takes time to resolve the problem
  • Many tools required considerable training. Needs improvement on UIs
  • Possitive impact. It is main product suite to enable devops in the mainframe applications team. All developers use these on day-to-day work.
  • Negative impact: Recent usability issues caused disappointment in the application teams. It became hard motivate the development community to increase usage.
Code pipelines offer integration with other tools however it is not doesn't offer any self-service integrations options which increase work for admin to manage these integrations.
It is 50/50. Tool provided an options to complete developer's tasks without problem. However, the UI needs lots of improvements. application developers are reporting UI interfaces are old style and they will have search each option to figure out and it increase their training time.

Tool provides good functionalities, but recent upgrade had more issues which made the user experience to go down. It is main tool that our team provide application teams to work on but it failed with various issue, and it look longer for us to resolve due to support delays.
