Overall Satisfaction with Bonterra Network for Good
Bonterra Network for Good has many features that are very attractive to our organization and that help me save time. It is a fantastic Donor Management system that allows us to track donor interactions, donations, & volunteer time. It also has some really great communication features whether you want to send an email, text or direct mail piece to your donors. You can also run online campaigns easily from their software as well as Silent Auctions. One of their new features Que has been extremely helpful. Que is their new AI assistant to your development team. I've been able to craft letters for year end and thank you's using Que. You can also receive helpful suggestions and coaching from anything as simple as which donors may be ones to reach out to regarding monthly giving or how should you approach lapsed donors or increase donor retention. I have found their AI tool to be supremely helpful.
Pros
- Customer Service A+++! They are very responsive & helpful.
- Is an all in one system. It has all of the tools we need.
- Their new AI assistant Que is super helpful and reliable.
Cons
- As they have grown, I have had some functionality issues like Gateway errors, but they are on top of addressing technical issues quickly and with ongoing communication.
- This platform/software has really helped me to save time in my donor interactions. Something that would take me a couple of days to complete, has helped me to trim it down to a couple of hours.
- We have also been able to provide better reporting to our Board of Directors.
- We have also increased the number of lapsed donors back to active donors. Last year, by year end, we had 8 lapsed donors reactivated. Mid year of this year, we have reactivated 18 lapsed donors.
Bonterra Network for Good has made it easier to raise funds and track donations. We have used their online Campaign features and that has been super helpful. It's easy to create a campaign page, QR code, etc. and then share the link with our donors. We can share it using the communication tools in the platform or easily convert it to share outside of the platform.
Tracking donations is super easy, from data entry to going all the way through to processing thank yous. This platform has truly made our fundraising easier and more streamlined. I have instant data available just by clicking on a donor.

Using Bonterra Network for Good
1 - Philanthropy Department
1 - Basic computer data entry skills needed. They have great training modules available, but these are not needed for very basic data entry. They are great for higher level features you may want to use as you build your CRM.

- We have been able to quickly launch unplanned campaigns with great results due to this platform being so easy to use.
- The volunteer tracking that was added within the past year has also been super helpful in keeping donor and volunteer information in one place.
- We have barely skimmed the surface of the tools available. We look forward to really diving in deep within the next year to do some higher level activities related to increasing donor retention and changing inactive donors to active donors once more.

Yes - Yes. At times it was frustrating, because I am usually needing something right at that moment. However, as we know, fixes aren't always right at that moment due to the complexity of any given issue.
There have been several times when Bonterra has provided exceptional support. You start in the AI support, but can be quickly escalated to a real person. When reporting a problem the team has always been super respectful and has worked on it right away. They also keep you updated along the way with progress reports, especially if a problem cannot be resolved quickly. They have a great team.

- Still unsure how to make someone inactive, but still retain their record. If the person is deceased it's easy, but if a donor has asked to be removed or we've lost track of them, I'm still not sure how to do it. We want to keep them in the system in case they come back, as well as to have it flagged that they should not receive any communication and why.
