Overall Satisfaction with Cisco 2000 Series Connected Grid Routers (CGR 2000)
Our organization is using the Cisco 2000 Series Connected Grid Routers [CGR 2000] across our various outside facilities around our City. We have many outdoor locations that needed a good rugged option for connecting environments of this type. They are built to withstand the heat and various elements that they are exposed to. It addresses the problem of having to have a sealed closet for our networking equipment.
- Resistant to many elements that its exposed to
- Work well in higher temperatures
- Compact enough to be installed in an inground box
- Cisco has some troubles with licensing hardware still unless you're on smart licensing
- Price with Cisco equipment is usually high
- Bugs found in the interface
- Ruggedness
- Ease of installation
- Well built hardware
- Saved money on replacing standard routers that die in those environments
- Saved time with the easy linking and connection options
- Given us peace of mind that the device will continue to run without intervention
