Overall Satisfaction with Cisco AI Defense

Cisco AI Defense is a new comprehensive security solution. It is new to the field and geared specially for AI workloads.

Instead of everyone using their own AI tools, Cisco AI Defense becomes the tool that everyone uses in organization for performing genuine AI searches and research.

It safeguards against third party tools accessing unlimited sources of data, and prevents data leaks that can pose significant security and data leakage risks.

Pros

  • Stays within the framework of organization data searches
  • It provide end-to-end protection for the entire AI lifecycle, from development, test and deployment to ongoing usage
  • Prevents getting corrupted data that could be harmful

Cons

  • Larger Large Language Models inclusion and associated RAG
  • Better training and testing, tuning
  • more comprehensive and better data modelling
  • edge inference and tooling for various edge devices
  • Enhances security guidelines, compliance and policy deployment
  • Prevents data leaks and safety of integrity.
  • Enables visibility and telemetry across environment
Though still new, and still developing and maturing, the scope and product features are awesome and very handy for a large corporation. Over time it is expected to provide even more usefulness with larger scope of testing against currently limited set and scope of deployment.

Future advancements in tool, and in AI algorithms and automation, would be very applicable in inclusive product feature for a wide variety of testing and setting security policies.
though no other product that I know is available that competes directly, Open AI is referenced as original ChatGPT functionality provider.
This space is fast developing and many new players are emerging offering their AI and Security defense products. Hope to provide better insights in few months.

Cisco AI Defense helps our organizations discover and monitor the use of rogue and unsanctioned AI applications that is common amongst teams.

Use of Cisco AI Defense allows security teams to enforce policies and control access of various application and usage.

It provides granular control over who can access AI applications and models, preventing unauthorized use and ensuring compliance with data privacy and security regulations.

This is much helpful tool in data privacy and compliance.
