It's used as an access switch for critical wireless functions and for some users' access. It is a very stable device.
The only problem faced was when we were upgrading iOS. The device wouldn't start properly and we saw some connectivity issues regarding distribution networking. In some cases, it was necessary to make a rollback.

I prefer to use it as an access switch as there are better options for virtualization or automation.
Good for stacking. Cisco Catalyst provides good administration for these capabilities.
