Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN
We are using Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN for providing connections for our new generation mobile car vehicles. It addresses problems with changing the quality of connection and load balancing between APN connection and satellite internet connection. Thanks to Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN we are able to create dynamic policies that are provided for every new device that is connected to our network.
Pros
- Load balancing
- Measuring links quality
- Automatically creating ipsec tunnels
Cons
- Better consistency between configuration groups and device templates
- Configuration groups would support more features
- The maximum number of TLOCs for core region
- Faster deployment of new locations
- Detailed assurance view
- Centralized upgrades
Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN is more sophisticated and has a wider range of functionalities than the Meraki SD-WAN solution. For Meraki SD-WAN you cannot configure all policies that it is possible for Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN. Meraki SD-WAN is more as plug and play solution. For Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN you have to have good knowledge of how to implement and configure all your requests.
