Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Meraki Dashboard

I use the Cisco Meraki Dashboard in our school system to manage and monitor all of our network switches, access points, and firewall. The product helps me monitor for issues, but also track the health of each device. By using the Cisco Meraki Dashboard I am able to monitor the health of the entire network in one convenient location, freeing me up to have more time for other projects.

Cons

  • Sometimes the clients device information doesn't match up to the actual device, especially the operating system being used.
  • All in one dashboard allows for less time spent looking for information.
  • The dashboard is user-friendly and shows everything you need to know quickly, which allows an IT person to have more time to work elsewhere.
The usability of the dashboard is extremely easy. It is set up in a very user-friendly way and can be used by anyone with some basic IT experience. I like that the dashboard home screen has all the health information for the entire network, allowing me to have a quick glance at our networks status on one page.

I think the Cisco Meraki Dashboard is very well suited for companies that have a lot of network switches, access points, etc. Having a dashboard that you can go to and see all your network pieces in one place is a time saver for an IT admin. I don't think the Cisco Meraki Dashboard would necessarily be as useful in a setting with a limited number of network pieces in place.

Yes - The mobile interface works very well. I use it as much as I use the web-based dashboard.
