Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Meraki Dashboard

We are using the Cisco Meraki Dashboard to configure and see the status of the network but mostly for troubleshooting. Things like the number of offline devices and status of the ports is important for us. As a school we also use the Cisco Meraki Dashboard to locate lost student devices. We also have a few VLANs that we established and about 100 cameras that we monitor through the Cisco Meraki Dashboard.

Pros

  • Detailed logs for the devices or the ports
  • Creating the topology map
  • Easy configuration of the swithes

Cons

  • Status of the switches environmental data detail like ram, temperature, etc all we were able to see in the Cisco environment.
  • probably more than 3 since it takes less time to manage the network now
  • we need less support from Cisco or other companies we work with
Well Cisco Meraki Dashboard is very responsive and easy to use. The menus are well designed and I love the way we get to try the new interfaces and switch back if can@t get used to it fast.

Do you think Cisco Meraki Dashboard delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Cisco Meraki Dashboard's feature set?

Yes

Did Cisco Meraki Dashboard live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Cisco Meraki Dashboard go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Cisco Meraki Dashboard again?

Yes

Well I think the Cisco Meraki Dashboard is well suited for middle sized companies where the use count is around 500 and the internet need is around 2GB. More than that and it gets impossible to use the Meraki MX and you have to swicth to another firewall where your Dashboard won't be able to fully integrated.
