Overall Satisfaction with Cisco ThousandEyes
We use Cisco ThousandEyes for monitoring end-to-end network and application performance/availability to help troubleshoot and find root cause for issues experienced by our network teams. A main use-case is monitoring the network paths available between two points on the network that caters for important user & customer traffic. We monitor each point along the network to understand at what point is traffic being impacted.
Pros
- End-to-end application availability
- Route Monitoring
- Low-level network performance
Cons
- Internal route monitoring
- Reduced mean-time to resolution
Cisco ThousandEyes has a great "macro" view and gui allowing easy to understand metrics. It also makes it easy to run synthetic application tests to measure reachability between two endpoints.
