Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Umbrella Easy Protect for MSPs
The company has switched to an entirely remote business model so we gained experience in managing remote clients. Since our customers will log on remotely to our assets there was a need to individually manage them. Cisco Umbrella was used among the entire company and later on Umbrella MSP was rolled out to our clients so we can granularly define access among our services.
- Easy integration into Windows AD
- Fine grained access policies that can be tapered to each group
- Large selection of pre defined filter lists.
- Analyzing security logs can be challenging as the interface is rather slow and due to the large quantity of logged data.
- It is not always clear why a resource was blocked as there are 2 types of block lists
- Clients sometimes have to re-logon in order to get an updated policy rolled out.
- Integration into Windows AD
- Manual allow/block lists
- Good customer support through Cisco
- Not always clear which block list caused an access issue. [There are] several places that need to be checked.
- Client policies take a while to get updated, sometimes need to re-logon
