Overall Satisfaction with CloudApp

As a public engagement group, we use volunteers to deliver our activities. As we are growing quickly, we don't always have time to sit down with each volunteer specifically to teach the in's and out's of each activity, so remote teaching videos and documents have been really useful in making sure everyone is up to speed. This is also particularly important for those that are not geographically local, and as we share our activities, this software makes it easy to communicate these techniques, and short gifs and pictures.

Pros

  • Excellent UI, easy to use and visually good.
  • Very easy to create gifs and capture screens (that's what it's for!).
  • Automatic upload is pretty useful.

Cons

  • The file size can be restrictive at times, but easy to workaround.
  • User workflow for images and gifs could be simplified.
  • No need for volunteers to come to us for training as we can do so remotely.
  • Sharing screen and items on screen for meetings/during meetings to those that can't attend is great.
It is a great piece of software. It makes life much more simple for sharing images, which for us when training people is really good.
I've never needed to use the support, but I am aware of the many options for getting it, so for me that's a good thing!
CloudApp is perfect for anyone that wants to share what they have on screen. For us, the sharing of training techniques and points of interest have been made much more simple using this. The cloud storage is particularly useful, and although the process could probably be simplified slightly, it is still a worthwhile investment of time and resources.
