Overall Satisfaction with CodeSignal

I use CodeSignal as a student to take assessments for companies. The tests are standardized and proctored, and allow me to show off my skills in computer science against other students in a similar position as me. The platform is easy to use and understand, and very user-friendly. When I take a coding assessment, it is easy to see everything I need and get started coding right away.

  • Evaluate skills right away.
HackerRank is similar to CodeSignal in a lot of ways, but CodeSignal has better options for reports. The test report at the end of an assessment really helps you understand exactly how a candidate scored, and what exact areas they are experts in.

CodeSignal is well suited for evaluating the basic coding skills of potential candidates, especially at the student level. It is very useful for asking somewhat simple coding problems in a timed and perhaps proctored environment. Perhaps not as useful for certain jobs such as UX/UI design where criteria are more subjective.
