Overall Satisfaction with Conga CLM

We use Conga CLM to manage templates and create contracts. We also use it for redline versioning and sending executable documents/final document storage.

Pros

  • X-Author for redlining within the Conga CLM. Great for maintaining redline versions within the Conga CLM
  • Template version management. You can always go back to a previous template version.
  • Maintaining a clause library

Cons

  • Needs more AI technology, specifically around negotiation/clause population for redlining
  • Need to better be able to support various pricing tables unique to your organization without error/breaking a template.
  • reduce the load on our servers. Given that its hosted, we no longer need to store every single redline in our server space
  • easier to track and manage template versions. It's all in one place, and so easy to go back to a prior template version.
  • Maintaining ALL templates in ONE place.
  • Limiting who can access and amend templates. Huge win for compliance. Ensures everyone is using the same template.
We've grown by a decent amount in the five years we've been with Conga. We also had a spin-off during that time, and Conga made sure we could easily redo templates and create new templates to accommodate that spin-off.
We do not currently use this functionality in terms of self-service, but we absolutely plan to explore this concept within the next few months with Conga.

Conga CLM is very well suited for companies with many templates, and complex templates. It's also very well suited for companies that also need to integrate Conga CPQ, as it flows into templates seamlessly. Conga CLM probably not as necessary for smaller organizations, where Conga Composer could be useful.
