Overall Satisfaction with ConnectWise Manage

Please don't make the mistake that I did by working with ConnectWise. Once you are locked into a contract the only change you can ever make is to ADD to the contract. If you want to remove something or make a change that would reduce your billing you must wait until your contract period is up.

For example, I use ConnectWise Automate, and a client is required for each computer. You have to purchase clients in blocks. If you don't use all the clients, that's your problem, you still pay for them. If you don't have enough clients you can't utilize it on those computers.

I had a simple request for ConnectWise. Please let me add a few hundred clients, but if I want to reduce that number, please let me do so with 30 days notice. ConnectWise said, very clearly, NO. You can only add clients and can't remove them. What kind of vendor engages in this sort of behavior?

Pros

  • Billing
  • Contracts for multiyear periods
  • Docusign
  • Inflexibiilty with contract terms

Cons

  • Allow us to add and remove items without being locked into a contract
  • Allow us to have people to speak to that are allowed to do more than give us their names
  • Treat your customers like they matter
  • Ironclad contracts
  • Inflexibility
  • Doesn't provide anyone to speak to with authority
  • It's hurt our company and held us back
  • Difficult to use and configure with archaic database as controls
  • Significant downtime with their SSO login and products
  • Inability to access documentation without a login and password. Anytime you want to research something you have to login. Documentation needs to be secured? That's crazy

Do you think ConnectWise PSA delivers good value for the price?

No

Are you happy with ConnectWise PSA's feature set?

No

Did ConnectWise PSA live up to sales and marketing promises?

No

Did implementation of ConnectWise PSA go as expected?

No

Would you buy ConnectWise PSA again?

No

I don't recommend using ConnectWise unless you want to work with a company that will only allow you to add products and increase your cost but will never let you remove items unless your entire contract is up/expired. I know of no other company that enforces terms like this and is a good partner to work with.

Hi Guy, I fully agree with you. The software is an absolute mess. You are forced to buy apps in lieu of the fact that this software will only play with one business suite. The salespersons claim of the seamless interface to the accounting app is an absolute lie, interface to our business calendar is an absolute lie, the sync'ing seams to only push about 1/3 of the actual invoices to the accounting solution, and there are numerous potential points of impactful revenue issues. SO far my cost for using CW has been in the 10's of thousands due to lost time, training time for my team, lost invoices, invoices that never sync'd, time that was missed because a box was checked wrong, the weak training program. etc., etc. The only value I can see in this, is if you have a dedicated scheduling & logistics person managing it 40-50 hours a week and just have the engineers and techs live only in their calendar. I am not sure what you were told, but our salesperson blatantly lied to us. When we asked about the integration problems that were supposed to be seamless in the manage/sell package we bought. They only wanted to sell connector apps, they have zero interest in fixing their deficiencies. It does not work with our CRM, Accounting or business suite. I refuse to buy any more applications from them, because it will be more investment into something else fraught with issues. It is a high price to pay. It would be less costly to hire a full time staffer to manage tickets, CRM's
