Overall Satisfaction with Cube Planning

We currently use Cube Planning to help with forecasting, annual planning, as well as producing our financial statements and additional ad-hoc financial reporting. Cube has played a big role and increasing our efficiency during each forecast cycle as well as allowing us to build much more dynamic data sets, making the production of external/internal reporting a breeze.

Pros

  • Pushing and pulling of data from multiple sources.
  • amazing customer service.
  • dynamic formulas off of multiple criteria in cube.
  • integration with google sheets.

Cons

  • It can be a bit slow to pull data with larger data sets.
  • Transferring data from one scenario to another is a bit of a manual process at the moment.
  • Multiple scenarios is a must.
  • Direct connection with our ERP has been really important.
  • Decreased the amount of time spend on creating reports.
  • Improved collaboration between departments.

Cube is great for anyone that wants to take their forecasting/data structure to the next level. The ability to build out dynamic data sets that all of my reporting feeds off of has saved me countless hours of "grunt" work and has allowed me to spend much more time actually analyzing the financials.
