Overall Satisfaction with DigitalOcean Droplets
DigitalOcean is like an alternative cloud solution which we are using right in our organization for UAT environment and to do POC(proof of concept), POV(proof of value). In terms of pricing is far cheaper than another cloud platform like Amazon, Google cloud platform, azure. The UI is quite interactive and easy to navigate for a number of other services.

- Quick deployment of Droplets
- In terms of an availability zone, they have limitations not available in most of the geographical locations.
- No live support is available which can cause problem if you have outage.
- Number of service is quite limited.
- Affordable and cheap pricing
- Quick deployment and server quality is good
- Documentation and tutorials videos easily available and we'll documented.
- In terms of pricing, it has proved beneficial as we have checked with other cloud providers and their pricing is quite high in comparison to droplets.
- Easy deployment of droplets makes the application available faster for testing purposes.
- Reliability is really good and taking backup is quite easy.
The reason for selecting digital ocean was since we require a cloud solution for testing applications internally without being bothered about servers needing to be deployed in different geographical locations. As Droplets can be deployed very easily and boot faster than any other cloud solution. Affordable prices as we are using droplets just for the nonprod environment.
