Overall Satisfaction with Duo Security

It is being used by DevOps staff to require multi-factor authentication(MFA) for logins to our Windows Servers. In addition to being a security measure that is a great practice to implement anyway, MFA is one of the items in the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI-DSS).
  • Easy to implement, just an agent needs to be installed to link it to the company's Duo Security account.
  • Easy and seamless to use for every Windows log on.
  • Multiple ways to grant the additional verification (phone call, text/SMS, app notification).
  • We have not run into any shortcomings with Duo given our needs from the service.
  • Without Duo, we'd have to spend much more time and money to mitigate a less secure server, and satisfy PCI-DSS procedures and requirements.
Duo is great at filling the gap of Windows not supporting multi-factor authentication natively. It is easy to set up, and the MFA process is unobtrusive while still providing the additional level of security needed.
