Overall Satisfaction with Ezus

The business problem this app should address is the creation of travel itineraries, travel documents, and cost sheets for travel packages that include different services from different providers.
Itineraries are supposed to have a detailed description of the services included, including what is included, duration, beginning time, meeting point. The travel documents should have also the contact information of the service providers, as well as a day by day summary. The cost sheet need to show the total cost of the services in different currencies.

Pros

  • The first page of the itinerary is appealing

Cons

  • Services are very hard to find. The search needs lots of improvements to really be functional.
  • The itinerary outputs do not look visually appealing.
  • Not all services inserted in the itinerary appear in the travel documents, not even in the summary
  • The wrong information appears, for example details that should appear in the travel documents appear in the itinerary and viceversa creating a lot of confusion.
  • We spent many hours trying to make it work. Complete waste of time.
  • Negative ROI: we paid for 17 people to use this app (about $18,000.00,) and no one was able to use it. They did not offer even a partial refund.
The app does not work with existing databases. All data needs to be entered manually. It doesn't offer the precision required to create travel itineraries and travel documents (not all services appear where they are supposed to). They do not design tailored documents, so many details that should be automatically inserted are in fact missing and one needs to enter them manually for each service, making the app a bit more usable than a couple of excel sheets but nothing more than that.

We selected Ezus because they promised us that working with our database was not an issue, that they could import all the data and make it work seamlessly. We worked with Tour Writer before (not in your list). They were having similar issue with searching the database but then they were able to solve them. Ezus promised to change things and make things work but to this day, not all services selected appear in the itineraries which makes the app completely unreliable. This app is supposed to be precise, listing all services selected is the most basic thing it needs to do but it doesn't which makes is unusable.

The presentation looks appealing and functional but when one starts using the app, one soon realizes that it doesn't work properly.
It's not possible to insert all the data one needs, like beginning time, duration of the tour, description and detailed relative to meeting point and time. It's possible to insert (not in an organized manner) some of this data manually, but it's not possible to import an existing database and make it work.
