Empower your workforce by using Google's Speech-to-text.
Overall Satisfaction with Google Cloud Speech-to-Text
We use it primarily for our meetings; some are interested in the audio, while others want text. That's not it, it has made the lives of our neurodiverse audience easy, as it's easy for them to consume the data and they feel more involved. I don't think there's anything better if a tool caters to different audiences.
Pros
- I don't have to go through the hassle of taking notes while the meeting is on.
- Makes the environment adaptive for neurodiverse audience.
- Makes it easier to summarize the meeting audio.
- Automates the manual and mundane task.
Cons
- The customizations are very straightforward.
- Not ideal for org with a small workforce.
- Elimination of mundane tasks makes it a great ROI intensive.
- The ease of use UI eliminates the cost of formal training.
- The value add it brings on the org is something I can boast about.
I would summarize this like this: - the manual intervention of taking notes is eliminated; now, the individuals can focus on other important tasks rather than just being note-takers - it caters to individual needs; while some are only interested in audio, others only want the text. The workplace has become intelligent and efficient. - integration of Speech-to-text with meeting tools has made it easy to simply read the meeting notes and prepare MOMs; earlier, I used to review the audio again to fetch essential data and keywords. However, with Speech-to-text integration, my life has become easy.
While both Speechify and Google Speech-to-text do the job, certain elements that I find missing on Speechify are: it only works on Desktop with Windows OS, the customizations aspect is missing, there is no mobile app support (people these days want everything on their mobile devices), and lastly, the AI engine. I recommend using Speechify if you do the bare minimum quickly, but Google's Speech-to-text is the one for you if you wish to have real-time AI capabilities.
