Overall Satisfaction with IBM Apptio

We use IBM Apptio to charge back IT products to the businesses of consumption. We also use IT Planning as our subledger. Additionally, we use Cloudability to manage our cloud cost. This tool has been helpful to our IT Finance department. Forecasting has been a lot easier with the use of this tool.

Our business use features like data ingestion and modeling, accelerated budgeting and forecasting, and flexible analytics and reporting for our IT Finance department. Controllers are better able to forecast and budget more accurately using the tool. We also use IT Planning data to feed into our Tableau dashboards across the company.
My experience with the post-sales support team been minimal since my manager takes care of that. Other than that for the most part the support team has listened and provided support if there are any issues or concerns. The time support reaches back out is well enough to sort out any issues before the end of the day.
  • IBM Cloudability
The business impact of using multiple Apptio products together as a suite solution has been great. We have 3 suite products that help the organization as a whole. They are all inter-related and it's easy to connect the data together. The push of data from one product to another is great and helpful for the company.

IBM Apptio is well suited when forecasting or budgeting for the company. It has also helped charge back for IT products and services. The use of cloud cost has been easier to manage as well as providing cost savings and where to identify the savings. It is less appropriate for trying to use dashboards or visualizations.
