Overall Satisfaction with IBM Apptio

We use IBM Apptio to align our technology budget to our corporate leaders, and now with the upgrade to IIP we are able to forecast and budget more accurately due to budgeting by hours instead of employee allocation. The business problems that we address are communication and transparency within our budgets. All the details are out there and everyone can see where misalignments happen instead of finance being held accountable for the budget and forecast, our budget leaders can see the misalignments as well.

IBM Apptio is well suited for Technology budgets due to the capability to intergrade within other systems, and you have the opportunity to automate the budget and forecast cycle. It is not appropriate for all users due to the sensitivity of data and individuals can see salaries and such, which is hard to hard for certain individuals.
