Overall Satisfaction with IBM Apptio

We use IBM Apptio to help us give a Total Cost of Ownership for our applications and services that IT provides to the business.

Pros

  • Consolidation
  • History of data
  • The ability to slice and dice data in a variety of ways

Cons

  • I wish some of the features of Cloudy functioned more like Cloudability
The user interface is very friendly and you can easily change periods to see the data on a month-to-month basis.
  • We've had a positive impact on how we charge out allocations for applications
  • We've been able to see some cost savings associated with the cloud as well
We currently don't have ITP and do planning/forecasting offline; however, for data ingestion we're able to have many ServiceNow API's to help bring data in.
They've been very responsive and helpful and resolve my issues relatively quickly
