I recommend IBM Cloud Object Storage to my clients who are looking for a safe, secure and efficient resource to move unused data from the mainframe to the cloud.

Pros

  • gives companies the best of both worlds with reliability and mainframe support
  • Allows for data to be recalled once moved to cloud
  • Becomes a natural extension of the mainframe

Cloud data manager is what stores the data into the cloud, so both features compliment one another
