Overall Satisfaction with IBM Cloud Bare Metal Servers

I help customers design their virtual data center on IBM Cloud [Virtual Private Cloud]. VPC is the core component of a corporate virtual data center.
  • [It] is a way to implement isolation.
  • Allows to properly extend local ip scope.
  • Allows to have more control over network.
  • A customer I follow [has] faced problems [creating] a VPC VPN site to site. Not sure if it has been solved yet. This could have direct help from IBM because it is important to have customers onboard.
  • Well, as a reseller I can say we were missing VPN in Brazil. Now we are happy it has arrived.
In fact, we have the same functionality on both. Brazil Azure and AWS had started offering those options before IBM, so IBM was [at a] disadvantage, now both are tied.

  • IBM Cloud Databases
When you use services provided [within] the same boundaries you can benefit [from] seamless integration between those services.

It is more suitable for bigger and complex environments with lots of components. [For] smaller DTC with few components you should go without VPC to save money.

IBM Cloud Support and Implementation

I helped a customer with a problem to create a VPN site to site in its VPC. Helped him to check the configuration and get in touch with IBM Support. Seems to be a specific issue related [to] Fortigate. The IBM support could not help too much in the first moment. I think the issue [is] still happening.
