Overall Satisfaction with IBM Guardium
We use this product for monitoring data-based activity. We use mainly for mainframe applications. It is to make sure to detect any abnormal or malicious activity.
Pros
- This product does well in detecting anomalous and malicious activities, especially when it comes to database activity, monitor
Cons
- I would say it does really good in terms of mainframe, it is costly, so the license cost can go down and the other one would be vulnerable team management, database, vulnerability management. It's one more area where it can improve.
- Client trust is what our overall objective and it has maintained. As I said, insider risks and threats. So it helps in maintaining the trust of the client.
Anomalous activity detection.
Especially cost, we use both products, but cost, we use Imperva a lot and other databases, but cloud is where we are really looking for a new differentiator. That's where I would say we still don't have anybody in that space here. Especially it can identify the risks related to the insider threats. That would be the positive. The negative would be it creates lot of log information, which needs to be skimmed down to really understand what is the real reason.
