Overall Satisfaction with IBM Storage FlashSystem

Most powerfull and secure storage system in the market.

Pros

  • Performance: response time less than 1ms
  • Data are protected using encryption
  • We have ransomware threat detection. We detect a threat in less than 60 seconds.
  • More capacity using compression in the FlashCore Modules without performance degradation

Cons

  • In SLO (Service Leve Objective), giving the customer the opportunity to set the response time he wants.
  • Easy of use. The management is very simple.
  • Keeping data securely stored is a very good point.
  • The ransomware threat detection, nowadays is more than necessary.

Data mobility. With grid/partition today.
I use IBM Storage FlashSystem since the begining. In fact since SVC in 2003. So it is interesting to see the evolution.

All open system that need block storage. It is not well suited for file storage unless using with an SDS solution and, of course, for Mainframe systems.
