Overall Satisfaction with Ivanti Unified Endpoint Manager (formerly LANDESK Management Suite)

Ivanti's Endpoint Manager (EM) offers a wide breadth of features that we use daily from IT Asset Management, Software and OS Provisioning, to Patch Management, as well as our support and troubleshooting software.
  • Flexibility - EM is Agent based and supports a wide range of devices/products.
  • Reporting - Xtraction is a great tool to dive deep into your environment for real time reporting.
  • Patching - Go beyond just Microsoft patches. EM includes a whole slew of third-party patches as well as being able to do custom patches.
  • Pricing - Ivanti has made huge strides to simplify pricing, but still has some way to go.
  • Reduced ROI without the full suite of products.
  • Agent Upgrade and repair can be troublesome
  • Quicker to upgrade OS, deploy patches and be responsive.

Do you think Ivanti Endpoint Manager delivers good value for the price?

No

Are you happy with Ivanti Endpoint Manager's feature set?

Yes

Did Ivanti Endpoint Manager live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Ivanti Endpoint Manager go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Ivanti Endpoint Manager again?

Yes

Ivanti UEM can do a lot of things and can fit a large amount of needs for businesses. The training required to operate the product effectively is a little on the heavy side, but when maintained and learned, can lead to a mostly automated process.

As Ivanti brings on more products through acquisitions, they limit themselves by forcing to many key products to a-la-cart purchasing.

Using Ivanti Unified Endpoint Manager (formerly LANDESK Management Suite)

  • Remote Control
  • OSD
  • 3rd Party Patching
As Microsoft evolves Intune, SCCM, MECM and combines their features into the MS EULA, Ivanti seems to be going the opposite where they are stripping out core products in favor of an EULA + A la cart pricing model that simply is more expensive than Microsoft's pricing.

A few years ago, the gap was large enough to justify the extra cost of Ivanti, today the gap has closed significantly enough that the value add just isn't there for us.

Using Ivanti Unified Endpoint Manager

The user portions of UEM are fairly user friendly, with clean UX and ease of us. However the backend administrative side is deep, complex and requires a large amount of training to use properly.
