Overall Satisfaction with Kofax Power PDF (formerly Nuance)

It is being used by one employee for items that Adobe DC cannot handle. Specifically, OCR and converting existing pdfs to fillable forms.
  • The OCR capabilities are great, Kofax understands the difference between a line or dash, over letters and numbers.
  • The forms wizard is a simple click and process time, very easy way to convert a pdf to fillable form.
  • On opening Kofax reads the document ready for editing.
  • Highlights and comments are easily added and navigated, including by end-users.
  • It has a different layout and user feel, than Adobe DC.
  • It likely does more than I am aware of, but the help or instruction is not readily available. Sample videos and product use examples.
  • Significant savings with a purchased product, rather than a monthly subscription. There are months when I simply don't need a pdf viewer or app.
  • Lack of instruction or information on full use of Kofax.
Again it has an overall different feel than the competitors, and there are likely tools that could be helpful but I'm not aware of.
Still an Adobe user, but highly want to break away. Kofax can handle these intricate questionnaires that we process with ease, Adobe falls completely flat.
I haven't really needed to use customer service.

OCR and Form Creater
We utilize a questionnaire with pages of questions, boxes, bullets, charts, and so on; Kofax processed these questionnaires in no time from a flat lifeless pdf to a fillable pdf form. Quickly opening to flipping pages landscape or portrait, well I don't know how easy it is done in Kofax.
