Overall Satisfaction with Linode

We host all of our software products on Linode servers. Out business creates custom software hosted on a cloud platform.

Pros

  • Self Directed Management
  • Uptime and reliability
  • Customer Service

Cons

  • More Data centres in our region (Canada - only has one)
  • Next to no effort is spent by our staff in maintaining systems.
  • Expansion/Scaling of existing systems is also far easier and quicker using Linode
I've used local hosting solutions (company not listed above) as well has maintained our own hardware in the past. Linode far surpasses these solutions in every respect - cost, maintenance, uptime.
Every interaction I've had with Linode Support has been positive, however those interactions are limited - I don't really need them too often!
If there was a need to purchase server hardware for any particular reason, I would recommend Linode instead in every case. Far more cost effective, robust, scalable and reliable than any directly supported piece of hardware. However, this does assume a reasonable level of technical experience.
