Overall Satisfaction with Linode

We are currently using a Linode to host an Ignition instance. It is used by several controls engineers. We are able to avoid the expense of having hardware in our facility to maintain and cool and Linodes just work.
  • Uptime.
  • Network speed.
  • Number of available distros.
  • Can't think of anything.
  • Our people are able to access the server from wherever they are and perform their work.
I've used several (now defunct) "budget" VPS hosts. Linode blew them away when I switched and continues to do so. The level of service that Linode provides isn't even comparable to the questionable service and products the others offered.
Always friendly and quick to respond. I've never had an issue other than expired credit cards, but I'm sure any issue would be handled professionally and expeditiously.
We don't use a large Linode in our application so our TCO is basically zero.
Uptime isn't critical for us, but it is very nice that we don't have to worry about rebooting or anything.
If you need a server with excellent bandwidth and availability Linode is the way to go. I suppose that if someone needs a Windows deployment that there may be better options. However, there may be Windows deployments offered. I've just never used or looked for one.
