Overall Satisfaction with Linode
I use Linode in my personal web development projects and for hosting some small freelance jobs here and there. It's used to provision servers to host a myriad of small personal projects over the internet.
- Easy to use web interface to configure servers, dns and storage
- Easy to understand pricing model
- Good toosl and knowledge base to manage and acess servers
- Not the cheapest service provider in this market
- Could offer some more advanced configuration optiosn for specific use cases, needs
- Quick prototyping time
- Stable connection and servers
I've used many similar products. I currently use Digital Ocean and have used Google Cloud and Amazon AWS in the past. Linode has a simple to understand pricing model and an ease to use web interface, in this way it's a lot better than Google Cloud and AWS and is compatible with Digital Ocean. Google and Amazon have a more advanced web interface and will allow for more customized deploys and potentially cost savings in more complex and bigger deployments, but Linode is easy to start using and is cheap enough to be used with no further hassle. Digital Ocean has a few more advanced options and a prettier web interface, but overall they're both pretty good.
It has a cheap and easy to understand price model, it's very easy to get some servers up and running at a predictable price.
Very reliable to the point that I never worry about it.
