Overall Satisfaction with Linode

We used Linode's virtual server offerings throughout the whole lifecycle of our products: discovery, research, development, testing, development and in production too. Our processes did not require much special requirements, so any VPS provider could fulfil them yet we chose them for their clean, no nonsense setup, and responsive customer service.

Pros

  • Fast response time to customer queries.
  • Simple pricing model.
  • Reliable infrastructure.

Cons

  • Slow rollout of data centres.
  • Product rollout speed.
  • Quicker delivery.
  • Fast experiment turnarounds during discovery.
  • No downtime experienced.
We considered Digital Ocean but the overall offering was not found as convincing at the time.
Blazing fast response times, knowledgeable and communicative staff.
When looking for a no nonsense cloud platform offering, where requirements are well defined, when budgets are fixed, but engineering capabilities vary, when there is a requirement for a quick to set up testing lab.
