Overall Satisfaction with Lucidchart

It's pretty easy so learn how to use.
We're using Lucidchart to map current processes against desired, future processes. By doing this, we have a starting point of reference and then a living document of where our processes are headed. So 2 sets of flowcharts: what our processes look like now and what we want our processes to look like in the future.
  • Collaboration: your team members can work on the same flowchart so you don't have multiple, confusing copies of the same process.
  • Time-Efficiency: since your team members can work on the same document at the same time, you can schedule a work session with your group instead of multiple work sessions. So you save time when onboarding a new employee or reviewing changes to a flowchart.
  • Simplicity: the software itself is very simple to use which makes it easy to learn.
  • Printing out a flowchart. If I'm understanding how printing works in Lucidchart, you have to print out the entire flowchart on one page. I hope I'm wrong on this but that's not going to work because some of our flowcharts are pretty big and need to be printed out on separate pages.
  • Getting the shapes to align so the lines between them are straight, it's frustrating. Or, being able to create an arrow line between 2 shapes easily. I'm not too sure how to easily make that happen but I'm spending a good bit of time trying to keep a row of shapes aligned.
  • Swim Lanes: we use these a lot. I would like to have the swim lane headings on BOTH sides of the flow chart because our flow charts are very wide so by the time you get to the other side of the chart you can't remember which lane you're on. I'm using the lane colors to help with that but I would still like to have some headings on the both ends of the lanes and possibly some very transparent headings in the middle of the lanes so that as you are scrolling from one side of the lane to the other, you see a slightly transparent swim lane heading.
  • I don't have any numbers to provide but I want you to imagine this scenario: new employee meeting virtually with a manager over one of these flow charts. The new employee has real time access and understanding as the manager explains the changes that need to be made. Faster understanding. Fewer meetings.
