Overall Satisfaction with Marketo Marketing Automation

We used Marketo for lead scoring, lead routing, lead nurturing, onboarding emails for new customers and everything in between. One great admin/manager feature was the activity log. It tracks everything which makes troubleshooting every kind of CRM issue much easier.

Eloqua and Pardot. Eloqua was more customizable but also more complex. Pardot did not seem as powerful.
Satisfaction is high enough not to justify migrating. Migrating off any platform as important as Marketo to a different vendor is a pain.
Marketo is great for companies with longer sales cycles. It may be too expensive for smaller companies with more transactional sales. MailChimp or something similar might be enough in those cases.

These questions really need to be asked internally before asking Marketo. How will you measure your return on investment in Marketo? Shorter sales cycles? Higher conversion rates? Larger deals? Will you have dedicated internal personal to manage the software, if not who will share this task?
