My organization uses Microsoft 365 Defender to protect our users and data from a variety of threats, including:Phishing attacks,Ransomware attacks, Malware attacks, Data breaches,Insider threats.
- Email protection: Microsoft 365 Defender uses a variety of techniques to block phishing emails and other malicious messages.
- Device protection: Microsoft 365 Defender scans devices for malware and other threats, and can quarantine or remove infected devices.
- Identity protection: Microsoft 365 Defender helps us to identify and prevent insider threats.
- The reporting features could be improved.
- The integration with other Microsoft products could be improved.
- The pricing could be more competitive.
- Reduce the risk of data breaches.
- Improve the security of our cloud apps and Increase the visibility of threats to our organization
- Improve the efficiency of our security operations
mainly the lack of visibility into threats: We had limited visibility into the threats that were targeting our organization. This made it difficult to identify and respond to threats quickly.
Automated response allows us to quickly and automatically respond to threats without having to manually intervene. This has helped us to improve the efficiency of our security operations and reduce the risk of data breaches.
We are currently not connecting Microsoft 365 Defender data to Microsoft Sentinel or another SIEM platform, but we plan to start a proof-of-concept (POC) in early 2024.
Palo Alto Networks Cortex XDR and Microsoft 365 Defender offer similar protection, but Microsoft 365 Defender has a focus on cloud visibility and Office 365 integration.
