Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Defender for Cloud

Endpoint security for end user computing.

Pros

  • detailed remediation steps to resolve security issues
  • Sends a lot of useless notifications
  • It blocks applications that people can't do without
  • Improved overall security
  • cost effective
  • Out of the box easy to implement - saves a lot of implementation effort.
We have Only Azure and AWS environments. No on-prem resources are deployed.
Yes it helped in reducing active threats. We managed to reduce 20% of the overall threat alerts generated every month.
Microsoft Defender for Cloud is not there yet, we are also using Nessus and Qualis to scan the cloud infrastructure. Ivanti is used for remediation of a lot of threats.

very suitable for windows-based workloads or if you are using azure - better alternatives are also available if you have linux based workloads. What goes in the favour of Microsoft Defender for Cloud is the native protection out of the box for windows based workloads. The ease of implementation also plays in favour of Microsoft Defender for Cloud.
