Data loss is the most important and major worry for every organization. Microsoft Purview Data Loss Prevention is the most reliable solution in order to protect your data.We have created policies for our sensitive information and this policy ensures that data is not sent to a wrong person in the form of email or document. When such activity is detected it sends an alert to the admin so that the admin can take necessary actions before the damage is caused.We have also created a policy for Teams. It detects whenever any sensitive or confidential information is shared in Teams in the form of attachments or messages.
- It is very efficient and reliable in protecting the sensitive data or information os the company.
- It is very easy to setup the policies in Microsoft Purview Data Loss Prevention because the user interface it so easy and it also provides an option to test the policy before you finally push it to the production environment.
- It efficiently performs content inspections and scanning of data from removable devices and applications
- False positives are generated sometimes but that is very very rare.
- Cost of the product can be revised. However it gives good value for what level of protection it is providing.
- Only the initial setup was a bit complicated. Otherwise it is solving our problems.
- It has helped us to prevent data breaches and protect them from data loss.
- It has strong visibility on the activities related to data copy to and from removable devices.
- It can easily enforce the policies on group of users and also exclude some in the exclusions
Microsoft Purview Data Loss Prevention is the product which are using for our data protection and so far we are very pleased that it is working as expected to our satification. There was no need of rethinking about usage of this product because it has passed in every activity that it has promised. Its detecting, scanning, monitoring, filtering and reports, etc. All the activities are very reliable and efficient. Moreover it is very easy to use from an admin's point of view.
The process of adopting Microsoft Purview Data Loss Prevention was very exciting as we were researching on multiple products to achieve this goal of implementing a solution to protect the data of the company. We received many positive reviews about this product. We have always liked and implemented Microsoft products because mostly they are reliable. Initially the implemtation was time consuming but as time went we thought all the efforts were worth. So far it has really passed in all its claims that it promises.
There is always a scope of improvement in every product. i am sure Microsoft must be working on this. I would like to see Machine Learning operations in this as it will simplify most of things. Cost of the product can be revised as well. Although it fulfills everything it promises but cost can still be less.
Not used any product other than Microsoft Purview Data Loss Prevention. As I mentioned in my earlier point that we did all the researches for the best suitable product for our environment, but Microsoft Purview Data Loss Prevention proved to be best and is working as per our expectations. So we never had to think about any other product.
