Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Security Copilot

So my current scope of use case is threat hunting, so I give it a couple of threat models.

Pros

  • Honestly, I think with threat detection and hunting, I would say that's what I've used this product for. So that's the only one I know, and I think that's the one it's been doing well.

Cons

  • I think the usage of data, which is provided for threat intelligence can be a little bit more crisp. I feel like the information provided by the model is still a little bit vague, I use it for research purposes.
  • I would say it has definitely given me more context about risk modeling. I was doing it completely manually. And when AI is in the play, it definitely makes things easier and faster.
The data refinement part of this tool is, it seemed a little bit off, and of course that's totally understandable because AI is not as perfect. Security is a very complex area and even humans are struggling with it. So it's the efficacy part, which is a little bit missing.
I mostly use it because of the AI. Mitre is more manual process. It's a very old process. So definitely using AI for security is the reason why I went for this product and kind of augmenting my skills is the reason why I chose this.

I think it's best for mapping CWS with threat actors. So it's better for the developers to understand the security jargon.
