Overall Satisfaction with Netlify Platform

We use Netlify to host our production front end and preview deployments. During our CI workflow in CircleCI, we use the Netlify CLI to push up deployment, and we use Netlify's redirect features to redirect all paths at our website URL to our React SPA.

  • Preview deployments save us a ton of time.
  • If we couldn't deploy in China, it would be unusable.
We interact with the CLI via our CI/CD pipeline. It was very straightforward to get set up, and their documentation is thorough. There are a ton of examples online of various setups. We needed to deploy a React SPA, so we required redirects, which was straightforward with Netlify.
Vercel is not accessible in China, but Netlify is. That was a huge selling point for our specific product. Additionally, while Vercel can do preview deployments, the way they want you to set up aliases is a bit of a hassle compared to Netlify. Pricing is pretty good as well.

Any frontend hosting solution is just great. It's also available for users in China to access. I don't know if this will be a permanent fixture as it's more dependent on China, but our project requires access from China, and Vercel is not accessible there. Netlify is hugely CI-friendly, so I would also recommend it to anyone with a solid CI/CD workflow.
