Overall Satisfaction with Neustar UltraDNS

We use it as the authoritative DNS for all our external domains. A, PTR, MX and TXT records.

Pros

  • Speed
  • Reliability
  • Resilience

Cons

  • Usage reports could be more intuitive. I'd like to be able to schedule periodic reports with drill-down capability.
  • Positive only. We do not Have to deploy our own solution and maintain it with all necessary upgrades and security fixes.
We read reviews and had a demo. That suited us well.
On a rare occasion that we call for support, more like a HOW-TO type of thing, it is a live person, prompt, courteous and knowledgeable.

It is a care-free DNS provider that has a robust infrastructure. Geo-specific resolution can be pricey, however.
