Overall Satisfaction with Oracle E-Business Suite

Global implementation of R12.1 and ongoing support from Accounting & Finance functions. I supported all users training, requirements, and remediations to ensure the software met our business needs.

Pros

  • Security: Responsibilities restrict users to entities and functions
  • Access: Easy to login and integrate other softwares like WebADI journal entry uploads
  • Customization: You can re-arrange fields in your entry screens to align with your invoices ,etc.

Cons

  • Compatibility: EBS should be up to date to work with Excel and other business applications.
  • Java: Old version of Java was needed to support application.
  • Integration: Although you can export data, it is often just a csv or txt file. It would be better to have formatted reports and excel templates.
  • Positive: easy to navigate HTML screens
  • Positive: user access and responsibility control
  • Negative: dated compatibility to current softwares.

We have deployed this ERP internationally and it supports the FX and languages we need. Also, it handles dynamic tax calculations, regardless of the complexity of global jurisdictions.
