Overall Satisfaction with Oracle Financials

Financials system of record (Accounting) and Supply Chain (Purchasing, Inventory)

  • As a single source of financial visibility, it is positive. Reporting to get full visibility can be greatly improved.
SAP R/3 and Peoplesoft (before it was purchased by Oracle). Oracle Financials is easier to use that SAP R/3 but not as easy as Peoplesoft.
Well suited to most type of industries and companies. One module that I would say is not suited for all industries and companies is Oracle Projects. If you are already a project centric organization, then it will work best. If you aren't, you may find it very restricting and requires a high level of discipline to use.
