Overall Satisfaction with Oracle Financials

It is predominantly used for financial accounting. It is used by the entire finance department.
  • Month-end closing process.
  • Seamless integration between subledgers.
  • Good dashboard.
  • More options in reporting with details of sub-ledger in a unified format
  • As the organization is big and the usage is high - this has given us a good ROI.
Oracle has more features inbuilt and is a more stabilized product.
Oracle Financials is well suited an organization that wants to implement vanilla implementation where the users don't want to customize. Oracle already has prebuilt many features. It is less appropriate if the organization has a need for minimal features because the cost of the product is high for implementing with minimal features. Oracle should come up with flexible pricing within a single module based on features.
