Overall Satisfaction with PDQ Deploy & Inventory

We use it for remote inventory and deployment of software.

Pros

  • Easy to use
  • Easy to push deployments
  • Works well with Windows AD

Cons

  • Lots of errors within Inventory make it difficult to use at times.
  • Deployments can hang making it difficult to push mass deployments
  • It is very cheap compared to its competitors and offers multiple ways of using the tool.
Its easy to use, and simple. In a day and age where some tools are too complex and offer more "features" than they should, the simplicity of PDQ is what stands out.

It works very well if you have a smaller environment with no DNS or networking issues, and established standards for the users.

It may not work as well if you have known DNS or networking issues or for larger environments with multiple sites.
