Overall Satisfaction with Portainer

It's very easy to use and get started.
You get an oversight of every container in the whole cluster and can easily make changes, see if there is any updates and if so update your containers in a manageable and controlled way.
This is a much better overlay/GUI even if you have only one node as you can easily make environment changes etc if comparing to normal "Docker Desktop".
  • Oversight of containers in a cluster
  • Lots of settings in a good manageable/understandable way
  • Instead of duplicating a container for editing volumes etc you should be able to edit this directly and then restart the container. I understand why you would want to duplicate but it would also be nice to just be able to edit and save without duplicating.
  • Cluster manageability
  • Several hours less in maintaining docker containers

Do you think Portainer delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Portainer's feature set?

Yes

Did Portainer live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Portainer go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Portainer again?

Yes

Good to use within a bigger network with multiple hosts. Can't think of and "scenario" where a Portainer instance wouldn't be appropriate.
As I'd said earlier, I would use Portainer even for a single instance usage as it is much more convenient compared to the Docker Desktop application.
You need Docker? Use Portainer.
