Overall Satisfaction with Qlik Replicate

Qlik Replicate/Attunity is being used to replicate SQL server database to our cloud Snowflake database in near real time. It is being used to create strategic datamarts and dashboards to the whole organization and allows us to have access to the data without impacting the ERP production server with live queries.

Pros

Cons

  • Full reload speed
  • Features such as parallel processing are not working
  • If connection is lost, a full reload is required to re-sync
  • Improved data delivery speed
  • Saved time by not needing to create pipeline with ETL tool
Qlik Replicate / Attunity was able to be put on our server behind our firewall where with Fivetran would have required. Fivetran would also have required a different SQL server CDC setup. HVR was just as powerful if not more but was more costly and the user interface was not easy to use & manage. HVR did not support native Snowflake connection at the time and Attunity did.
Very easy to use and setup; however, [in my experience] not all of the advanced functionality works as you would expect or at all.

Good for database to database replication. Salesforce connector did not work last I checked as it did not handle custom fields well and was erroring out due to row counts.
