Overall Satisfaction with Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform

I'm using AAP for deploying VMs on vSphere and standalone ESXi, to manage OSs - Linux and Windows and for operations on internal Applications. The scope is arround 500 managed hosts.

Pros

  • Create, destroy and modify VMs on vSphere
  • Executing various daily tasks on Linux OS
  • Working with Applications through API or custom made bash, powershell, python scripts

Cons

  • I'm using AAP 2.4, so first thing is common user management
  • Maybe to refresh user interface
  • It's quite ok.
I hardly come accross a task that I can't solve with Ansible.

Ansible is well suited for preparing OS for app deployment and also all kind of software deployment.
