Rocket Aldon is used for configuration management and managing our distributed software code.
- Allows flexibility for user groups
- Scripting for releasing of code
- Ease of comparing code versions within the tool
- Check-in checkout process can be cumbersome
- UI is crowded and not intuitive
- Requires in house expertise maintain and manage
- Based on the functionality it provides and for the price paid, it is reasonable

Aldon provides needed functions for our current implementations and legacy systems. As we move toward modernization, we are going to look at alternatives from reviewing cost, integration capabilities and functionality.
Using Rocket Aldon
250 - Information Technology Team members use this repository to manage code and migrate it to production.
5 - The configuration management team takes care of scripting and creation/maintenance of the software repositories in Aldon.
